All our short polar expeditions in Europe, Asia and Antarctica

Expeditions Unlimited, French leader in polar expeditions, also guides you on shorter, more accessible self-supported polar crossings, in Greenland, Scandinavia, Asia and Antarctica. Conceived as a logical progression towards longer, more challenging polar expeditions, or as objectives in their own right, these expeditions give you a powerful experience in the polar environment, in the heart of wild landscapes, in winter weather. They allow you to develop your polar expedition understanding and routines. In winter, we ski on Russia's frozen Lake Baikal or Mongolia's Lake Khövsgöl. We reach Sisimiut via the Artic Circle Trail in Greenland, or Novo from Wolf's Fang in East Antarctica.

All these polar projects are rated challenging to difficult and require good physical capabilities, prior trainings or experience of the polar regions, winter camping and ski touring. These expeditions are supervised by our experienced guides. On each of these expeditions, we offer a H24 medical hotline. We offer polar training courses as part of our Adventure School, to prepare you for these experiences.
