During our last web conference on Wednesday April 16, Éric and Didier Mille looked back at the main ascent routes of the mythical Kilimanjaro summit, their advantages and disadvantages, the best seasons to climb it, our standard services and the additional services that can be offered.

Everest, the roof of the world, can be climbed by two faces, the Nepalese south and the Tibetan north. And many routes lead to the summit. During this web conference, Eric Bonnem, founder of Secret Planet, focuses on the normal routes of each face and goes over their characteristics, their dangerousness, their footfall and their difficulties, and concludes with the advantages and disadvantages of each of these two options.

We've climbed them all... thanks to you! In our interview with Eric Bonnem, founder of Secret Planet, we take a look back at the legendary Seven Summits challenge: the characteristics of the expeditions that made it up, those that are no longer accessible and its extension to the poles.

Journalist, writer and mountaineer, Jean-Michel is a man of the mountains and of the pen. He has made five attempts to climb Everest, including his first in 1989. In this interview, he recalls the history of mountaineering on the world's highest peak.

Pascal Zellner has been an emergency physician since 1994. In 2005, he and Emmanuel Cauchy founded Ifremmont, the mountain medicine research institute based in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. With their teams, they revolutionized telemedicine for patients in isolated environments. At the time, there was only one solution: a large suitcase from the European Space Agency... They are developing research, prevention and treatments linked in particular to high-mountain pathologies, whether hypoxia (rarefied oxygen) or cold.

On October 12 1967, to encourage and reward the best in the race to the top, the Bureau of the Central Council of Sports Societies and Organizations of the USSR decided to award a prize to those who managed to climb the five highest Soviet peaks. The Snow Leopard challenge was born.

Last May, an Expeditions Unlimited group reached the summit of Mount Denali at 6190 metres, the highest summit in North America and, as such, one of the Seven Summits — often considered the most difficult, just after Everest.

Eric Shipton is one of the fathers of himalayism, or better still, of alpine climbing in the Himalayas. With his companion Bill Tilman, he took part in most of the reconnaissance trips to the world's highest peaks in the 1930s and sometimes opened routes that were used to achieve first ascents, such as Everest or Nanda Devi.
