As our 2026 polar season draws to a close, after remarkable adventures in Svalbard, Greenland and Finland, we now reconnect with Sebastien and his three expedition teammates, in the footsteps of Roald Amundsen.
Our team is progressing by ski manhauling across 400 kilometers of sea ice, from Cambridge Bay to Gjoa Haven, in the heart of the Canadian High Arctic. In complete autonomy — hauling loaded pulkas, camping on the ice, negotiating pressure ridges, facing extreme cold and traveling through polar bear territory — this expedition is a true immersion into the world of great polar crossings.
Thanks to our live tracking page, you can follow the team’s progress day by day, the conditions they face and the highlights of this rare adventure, including:
- The team’s real-time position
- Their progress across sea ice and through pressure ridges
- Weather conditions and ice conditions encountered
- Daily life on a self-sufficient ski-pulka expedition
- The key stages of a committed polar crossing
The 2027 season is already open for this rare small-group crossing, as well as for our other polar programs — from training courses in the Jura to expeditions in Scandinavia, Greenland, the Arctic and Antarctica. Some departures require anticipation well in advance, particularly for permits, while others are already fully booked:
- Northwest Passage in the Canadian Arctic
- Our polar expeditions
- Our training courses and polar training journeys
